The Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm is a project to harness offshore wind to power for more than 410,000 UK homes. This 402MW offshore wind farm consisting of 67 wind turbines will be located some 20 miles off the coast of the seaside town of Cromer in North Norfolk, and it is completed and fully commissioned late 2017. Statoil developed the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm and will continue as its operator.
Through the joint venture company Dudgeon Offshore Wind Limited, it is owned by Statoil (Equinor), Statkraft and Masdar.
The scope of work was basically fabrication and delivery of the 67 monopiles and 67 transition pieces based on the approved for construction engineering drawings. The transition pieces were subcontracted to a specialised company in Antwerp, Belgium.
